Investec acquires Liverpool car finance broker

City car finance broker Mann Island Finance has been acquired by Investec Asset Finance which was advised by office law firm Addleshaw Goddard.

The deal was shaken on for an undisclosed sum.

Businesses recognised as Queen's Award for Enterprise is announced

An array of businesses were recognised yesterday with the announcement of the Queen's Awards for Enterprise.

Running since 1966, the awards honour those who have gained success in innovation, international trade and sustainable development such as construction software company COINS which increased international turnover by 65 per cent between 2011 and 2013.

The business secretary, Vince Cable, commented:
