IAW going to hell and mud in aid of CALM

Gavin Sherratt

Gavin Sherratt one of the co founders of the Liverpool based online marketing agency IAW is getting ready for the challenge of the dirt, mud, bogs and swamps of the 2011 Hell Run at Delemere Forest on Saturday 10th September all in aid of the Liverpool based Charity CALM.

The agency has been supporting the charity for the last 12 months as it helps to raise awareness of the work that they do.

CALM, the campaign against living miserably,  was set up in response to the high suicide rate among young men, currently the biggest killer of men under the age of 35.  It is a campaign and charity set up for and on behalf of young men.  Most men who kill themselves aren’t in contact with any other agency.  And to be blunt, they don’t identify with much out there.  When asked, what they indicated they wanted was practical, anonymous, confidential help from professionals.  Which is why CALM was formed.

Gavin commented: “It’s been tough finding places and time to train for this run from managing the growth and awareness of IAW  to finding muddy hills to run up and down. But I’m really looking forward to the bog of doom towards the end of the race.

Because of the subject matter based around CALM we love the way that they embrace doing thing differently to spread their message so hopefully my running around bog filled forest can help them whilst raising some money towards their “Keep CALM Get Creative” campaign.”
