Charlotte Hogg, the recently appointed Head of Retail Distribution and Intermediaries at Santander UK plc, is set to speak at this year’s Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner.
She has responsibilities for all retail areas across Santander UK including branch distribution, bancassurance, mortgages, telephone distribution, e-commerce, agencies and intermediaries.
Charlotte is also a Non Executive Director at BBC Worldwide, Member of the Finance Committee at Oxford University Press, Governor of Nottingham Trent University and Chairman of First Story.
She was previously Managing Director, UK and Ireland at Experian and has a strong strategic financial services background and experience from her time at Morgan Stanley, Goldfish and the Bank of England.
Jack Stopforth commented: “The Chamber has always attracted the UK’s top business speakers and we are particularly delighted to welcome Charlotte this year. With banking and business finance still very much in the news, we are looking forward to her insight from the point of view of one of the UK’s leading high street banks.
Guest of honour is retiring British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) Director General. David Frost. He stepped down earlier this year after eight years as the head of the business group. During his time at the helm he is credited with building the BCC’s profile and increasing the authority of the Chamber of Commerce Network. He has developed influential relationships with Government.
The Dinner takes place at Liverpool Cathedral on Thursday 1st December. The theme for the evening is Driving Business Forward, taking our cue from Santander’s sponsorship of F1 reflecting the need for business to drive the economy towards recovery.
The event also sees the presentation of the annual Chairman’s Award for the business that has contributed most to the city’s economy in the previous year.
