Chart Toppers - OMD to play at Chamber dinner

The iconic band, in tandem with the Human League and Gary Numan, spearheaded the electronic music movement and defined a decade. OMD’s tuneful blend of cutting-edge synthwork, cool minimalism and soulful pop – honed to perfection on the albums ‘Architecture & Morality’, ‘Dazzle Ships’ and ‘Organisation’–sold millions of records, and turned childhood pals Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys into stars.

Jenny Stewart, the Chamber’s Head of Client Services commented:  “OMD have a long standing ambition to play at the Cathedral and we are delighted to welcome them as guests at our annual dinner. We are presenting the UK synth-pop pioneers’ group’s early ’80s heyday, lit up the charts and set the agenda for a bold new movement in British electronic music.

The band join, keynote speaker, Charlotte Hogg, the recently appointed Head of Retail Distribution and Intermediaries at Santander UK plc at this year’s Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner.
