Networking is so awesome in our city & we should really take advantage of the fact that with our contacts we can help build businesses in Liverpool. We build relationships when we go to networking events & get to know, like & trust people.
There are a lot of BNI chapters in the North-West & the BNI philosophy of "Gives Gain" really works. I used to be a member of Midas who meet every Friday morning in The Linear Hotel & unfortunately I couldn't commit to the chapter due to other commitments but I found it great for personal development & giving & receiving business.
This week I have received 5 referrals from existing customers: Julian Davies from OSS Security, Paul Durrance from Mitchell Charlesworth Accountants, Brian Green from Mortgage Xperts, Marie Reynolds from Nugent Care & Darren Barwick from MSB Solicitors.
The week before I gave 3 referrals to existing customers/lovely people I have met at networking events, so the givers gain theory definitely works.
